Vaonet, Inc. ("Vaonet", "we", "us") operates vaonet.com. This policy explains what personal information the site collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us:
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
- Contact form: your name, email address and message.
- Support case form: your organization's name, your name and email address, the case's title, summary and priority, whether you opt in to email from us, and any file you attach.
- Live chat: what you write in the chat, and your name and email address if you give them.
Like most websites, the site also records basic technical information when you visit, such as your browser, the pages you view and your IP address, and uses cookies to make the site work and to count visits.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and requests, including requests for a demo.
- To open and work on your support cases.
- To send you our newsletter, if you signed up for it, or other email about our products, if you opted in.
- To keep the site working and secure, and to understand how it's used.
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who handles it for us
We use a few service providers, who handle your information on our behalf and only for these purposes:
- Squarespace, which hosts this website and receives its newsletter and contact forms.
- Vtiger, our customer relationship system, which receives support cases.
- 3CX, which runs the live chat.
- Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our forms from spam. It is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the reason you sent it: newsletter addresses until you ask to be removed, support cases for as long as our records of your account require, and other messages as long as we need them to answer you and keep a record of our correspondence.
Your choices
- To see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop receiving our email, write to info@vaonet.com.
- You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though parts of the site may not work without them.
- Do Not Track: the site doesn't respond to Do Not Track signals, and it doesn't track you across other websites.
Children
The site is meant for businesses. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you send us, but no way of sending or storing information over the internet is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page with its date.
